Meet Our Lead Pastor

 

 

John A. Coaxum has been an ordained Pastor of the Seventh-Day Adventist Church for over 12 years. He holds a Bachelor of Arts in Theology and Pastoral/Evangelism from Oakwood University, a Master of Divinity Degree from Andrews University, and a Master of Arts in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from the University of the Cumberlands. Pastor Coaxum is also a Licensed Professional Counselor, who has counseled men, women, couples, and teens. He is often requested to conduct seminars and training for Pastors, churches, schools, and various other groups seeking his expertise. 

He is the author of three books including his latest book, Out of Egypt: Leaving Chains Where They Belong. He is also the creator of Pneuma (pronounced NOOMA) Cards (www.pneumacards.com) a first-of-its-kind faith-based therapeutic card deck that encourages self-discovery and reflection for those who value both God and mental health. He is married to his best friend Leah and together they have a daughter named Laila.
